Aggressive and Intelligent Legal Strategies

Driving Under The Influence

A Rockville DUI Defense Lawyer

Drunk driving is a common but serious offense in Maryland. A DUI or DWI arrest may be the result of a small mistake, but it can have a devastating and long-lasting effect on your future. Your way of life and sense of freedom may depend on your ability to drive a car to work, for family appointments, or for personal recreation. If you are a commercial driver, you absolutely depend on your driver's license to earn your living.  At the Law Office of Patrick J. Crawford, I take drunk driving defense seriously and aggressively advocate for my clients' rights.

If you or a family member has been charged with DUI, contact me now.

In addition to losing your license, a DUI conviction can cause you to incur large fines and increased insurance rates, be placed on probation and even spend time in prison. Not only are DWI charges time-consuming and inconvenient, they can also be expensive. If you’ve been charged with drunk driving, or a related DWI charge, hire a Rockville DUI lawyer with experience you can rely on throughout the legal process. If your DUI incident involved a collision, vehicular homicide or vehicular assault charges, as an experienced criminal defense attorney, I may be able to help you beat or minimize the impact of your DUI.

A Rockville DUI lawyer who provides more than just DUI defense.

I am more than just a DWI defense attorney. I also handle all types of related legal issues, including traffic violations like speeding, driving through a red light, reckless driving and driving on suspended license. In addition, he can help you get your driver's license reinstated, either permanently, or with special provisions.

First offense charges · Multiple offense felony arrest · License reinstatement

In most cases after you have been charged with DUI in Maryland, your driver's license will be confiscated and you will be given a temporary driver's license, after which time your license will be automatically suspended. You have only a limited amount of time in Maryland to schedule an administrative hearing with the Motor Vehicle Administration to challenge the suspension or request a restricted license to drive to work or school. The MVA hearing procedure is not automatically a part of the DUI charge defense, however, it is a good idea to have the same attorney handle both issues for you.
